If you have a Bank of America card you can participate in Museums on Us, a program that allows you free admission to certain museums the first weekend a month. This weekend you can get into the Tampa Museum of Art, the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts and the Florida Holocaust Museum (also in St. Pete). I missed out on Free Museum Day in Tampa last weekend, so I'm eager to take advantage this weekend.
I also missed out on a free opportunity last night. The Tampa Bay Rays gave out 20,000 free tickets to the game last night. Unfortunately, I had to work, but I heard it was a "sold out" crowd, and the energy was amazing. Too bad they lost 2-0, but it was a nice gesture. Wonder if there will be a lasting effect on attendance.
